MingJian team signs the Child Declaration to SaveKidsLives

Around 186 300 children under 18 years die from road traffic crashes annually, and rates of road traffic death are three times higher in developing countries than in developed countries. The Third UN Global Road Safety Week - #SaveKidsLives- seeks to highlight the plight of children on the world’s roads and generate action to better ensure their safety. The Week features hundreds of events hosted by governments, international agencies, civil society organizations, and private companies, including the delivery of the “Child Declaration for Road Safety” to policy-makers.

18,500 children died in traffic accidents in China in 2012, making it the leading cause of death for children under 14 years old, according to the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. That is 1/10 of children killed in traffic crashes globally!

Here is what we are doing at MingJian to save kids lives in China:

1) April 28-30 – Asia Pacific Road Safety 2015

MingJian CEO, James Feldkamp joined road safety experts from around the world to attend the Asia Pacific Road Safety 2015 conference hosted by the WHO and the Global Road Safety Partnership at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) headquarters in Manila, Philippines. During the conference, James discussed with other road safety experts how to apply global best practices to address the challenges of Road Safety in China.

On May 26th, MingJian will release the latest test results of 32 child safety seats, including popular brands and models from China and around the world.
